Video/Social Content Work for Crooked Media
Film & Editing Work
A mixture of commissions that I either shot, edited, or was part of the creative team.
This is a project I worked on with Huckberry, where I was a 2nd camera operator. This was another episode in their Homes series, with an inside look into Cameron Duddy's hill-country home.
This video was a project I worked on with Huckberry, where we filmed the process of Aaron Franklin building a rotisserie BBQ for Austin’s Hot Luck Festival. I was the 2nd camera operator. Editing was done in-house with Huckberry.
I've worked on quite a few remote editing projects with Strymon, from ads to YouTube content. This was one of the lengthier ones for the release of their new Big Sky MX pedal.
This was a spec video I shot and edited of my friend, and World Champion Powerlifter, LS McClain. It’s not rare for LS to train in a garage on hot Texas days, and the inside temp gauge read a whopping 112 degrees.
I’ve worked on many videos in Huckberry’s Gear Lab series. This is an example of one I shot and edited inside their office studio.
This promo video for AppSumo’s Black Friday was a group effort while I was a part of their marketing team. I shot the video, and split the editing with another producer. Capturing this was a lot of fun and we got to be creative in shooting this footage around town at night. A lot of run-and-gun capture, with some dialogue replacement in post as well.
I was contracting with Warm Audio for most of 2020-2021, and this was one of the videos I shot and edited for the launch of their new cable line. I got to work side by side with Sean Halley, the head of their marketing, and it was a really cool experience.
This documentary was a massive project I worked on back in 2016. I shot and edited this whole movie by myself while giving a few GoPro cameras to the team for some more vlog-style documentation. We spent a little over a week on the road, driving from Sacramento to Brooklyn and stopping at various gyms. The shooting for this was very run-and-gun, and a great challenge to balance being ready at any point of the day to capture photo/video, and yet, be ready to drive to the next city.
Social Performance
A few select social posts I shot and edited.
Podcasts
These are a few ongoing clients I work with for remote podcast editing.
This is an ongoing biweekly podcast I produce for 3DMJ. They all remotely capture audio, which I process and cutdown for the episode. We also use some other tracks and sound effects for advert sections.
This is a weekly ongoing podcast that I edit. in similar fashion, most of the work I do with this is audio processing and cleanup, then stitched to the video recording.
My job here was focused on the visual aspect. I was tasked to cut to each presenters camera when speaking, and incorporate multiple cameras when appropriate. All audio was processed by their podcast agency.
Music Videos/ Personal YouTube Content
These are all personal projects I wrote, shot, and edited myself for my own musical creations.
This music video was written, shot, and edited by myself, with the help of a friend or two to hold the camera.
This music video was written, organized, directed, and edited by myself. Camera operator was my friend Evan.
I make a lot of YouTube content for my own musical related interests that I think would help other aspiring musicians/producers. This video is a walkthrough of my current in-ear monitor & playback rig that I wrote, shot, and edited.
This music video was written, shot, and edited by myself, with the help of a friend to hold the camera.
Another personal YouTube video, with this one showing a little bit of screen sharing multimedia.
For this project, I wanted to capture a lot of typical sounds you’d hear in a gym, and make an instrumental song with those samples. Each sound was recorded first with some microphones, then filmed, and stitched together in post.
